Challenge Events

Looking to Challenge yourself? - why not sign up to one of the exciting events we have on offer, take part in a fantastic event and help the Trust provide essential care and support to people across Hastings and Rother who are living with or affected by cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

We will provide support with online fundraising, create personalised sponsorship forms and provide a Sara Lee Trust t-shirt or vest.


The 3 in 1 Challenge - Saturday 24th March 2018

Face three extreme challenges in one night and raise funds for the Trust.

The 3 in 1 Challenge has had to be postponed until Saturday 24th March 2018. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. All places registered will automatically move to the new date. If you are unable to attend that day, please contact us.

The 3 in 1 Challenge involves:

  • Fire walking - walk barefoot across hot coals
  • Glass walking - walk barefoot over glass
  • Board breaking - shatter a wooden board with your hands.

No experience is needed and all training and equipment will be provided on the day. Anyone over the age of 16 can take part. We will need to have consent from parents or guardians, who will also need to attend the event, for participants aged 16 or 17.

Registration fee is £10, which includes a t-shirt and all we ask in return is that you undertake a minimum sponsorship pledge of £250.

Event Location - The Hastings & Bexhill Rugby Football Club, William Parker Lower School, Park Avenue, Hastings TN34 2PN. Registration starts at 4pm and the challenges start at 6pm.

There are limited places available, so early booking is advisable. To book your place - please complete the Registration Form and return it to us.

Hastings Half Marathon - Sunday 18th March 2018

Join #TeamSaraLee

Join our team of staff, volunteers and supporters who are aiming to raise £5,000 to help the Trust support an additional fifty people this year, across Hastings and Rother.

All you have to do is:
We will provide:
  • Fundraising support from start to finish
  • Team fundraising page on Just Giving (so no individual targets to worry about!)
  • Sara Lee Trust running vest or t-shirt
  • A cheer team to support you on the day

We ask for a fundraising commitment of £1,750.

South Coast Challenge - 25th/26th August 2018

Why not considering walking, jogging or running for The Sara Lee Trust!

Walk, Jog or Run over the famous Seven Sisters, join the meandering river Cuckmere and continue along the South Downs to historic Arundel on this fabulous route showcasing the best of Englandís scenery. Join 2,000 others of all ages and experience for an unforgettable challenge, giving you a weekend to remember. It will be rewarding, fun, and absolutely achievable with your resolve and determination! Push yourself further - 100km Full Challenge, with Half & Quarter options also available.
