Thanks to Liz Callaghan, our volunteer, who sent off all the application letters, and to Irene Jones, another of our hardworking volunteers who came in to sort and store all the towels.

Eddie, who grew up in Bexhill, wanted to support the Trust as he had sadly lost his mother to Cancer when he was only 6 years old and his grandfather had suffered from Motor Neurone Disease.  He told the group that he had felt an affinity to the Trust and congratulated us for our work for the local community.

Jenny Yeo, MBE, Chairman of the Trust said ‘We were so thrilled that Eddie was able to join us, and meet all those who have worked so hard to make the charity the success it is.  Eddie spent time chatting to patients, volunteers, staff and Trustees and has given us all a real boost and the drive to keep raising funds and to keep helping local people who so desperately need our help and support.  We are so grateful to Eddie for his generosity and time’.
