As well as supporting some of the most vulnerable people within our local communities, Trusteeship does bring with it a number of legal responsibilities.
Overall responsibilityCharity trustees are the body of people who have ultimate responsibility for a charity. It is their responsibility to manage, govern and control the charity and to make decisions about the charity’s policies, objectives and strategies.
In summary the main duties are to work in partnership with the staff team and other stakeholders to: a) Setting the vision, mission, values and strategic direction b) Monitor and communicate performance c) Act as the guardians of the charity’s assets d) Ensure compliance & high standards of governance Key Relationships

Trust Senior Management Service User Group Members Other committee members including Fundraising / Volunteer Groups Time RequirementsThe time commitment for Trustees is estimated to be approximately one half day (4 hours) per month. This includes time provision for Board meetings.
