A Gift in Memory

A gift in memory of a loved one is a very special way to remember them and their life. Your decision to give in memory will help make a meaningful difference to a local person, and will always be treated with the greatest respect.
We understand that the current situation means that you may not be able to say goodbye to your loved one in the way that you would like. We offer here some suggestions for alternative ways to pay your respects, while supporting others who need “a hand to hold”.

Make a donation in their name

You can tell us a little about your loved one and the reason for your gift. Their name could appear (with your permission) in our printed newsletter or e-news. You can also contact katiejones@saraleetrust.org if you would like to talk about your gift.

Create a Tribute Fund

An online tribute page is a wonderful way to remember a loved one with friends and family, especially while we can’t meet. You can share photos, music and memories while raising money to help others.
It is simple and easy to set up a tribute fund online using MuchLoved, Just Giving or Memory Giving. Please contact us if you need any support or would like to tell us about your tribute fund.

Collect at a Funeral or Memorial Event

Asking friends and family to make a donation in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial event is a meaningful way to remember your loved one. The funeral provider will be able to help you to arrange this.

We understand that numbers are restricted for funeral services, and that many memorials have been delayed under the current circumstances. If you would like to talk about future plans please do contact us.

Fundraise in Memory

Taking part in a challenge event, or organising your own fundraising event, is a wonderful tribute and impactful way to remember someone special.

Even during this pandemic, there are are lots of creative ways you can fundraise in their memory. Whether a virtual quiz, birthday fundraiser or a running challenge – fundraising in memory can be a great way to connect with friends and family to share treasured memories, all while raising vital funds for the Trust.

Send an E-card

Let a loved one know you are thinking of them by sending condolences using a Sara Lee Trust e-card. At the same time, you’ll be helping us to provide a 'hand to hold' to someone who needs it.
