Become a Volunteer

Volunteering with the Trust will give you the opportunity to meet new people, build confidence and develop new skills. You will also make a difference to the lives of others. There are no special skills needed, just willingness to be part of a valuable service in your local community.

Other ways to get involved

Become  a Volunteer Support Worker
We are looking for Volunteer Support Workers to assist people living with a life threatening illness with work-related matters or more active living. This is a great opportunity to support others and develop excellent skills for a minimum of two to three hours a week for an expected duration of six months or more. Full training will be given. For more information, please view the Role Description and Person Specification. For further details, please contact Michael at michaelorourke@saraleetrust.org
Be an Admin Volunteer
If you want to help in one of our offices or support our services, you could volunteer your admin skills. Administrative tasks include data input, counting donations, welcoming service users and much more.
Become a Trustee
We are always looking for confident friendly people willing to support the aims and values of the Trust with good communication and interpersonal skills. Any skills are appreciated, although we are keen to hear from people with either a medical or therapy background, experience in retail, fundraising or the charitable sector.
Be a Volunteer Therapist
Volunteer therapists are integral to the Trust. Voluntary positions are available for those with relevant qualifications in massage, counselling, aromatherapy and acupuncture, to name a few.  The work is often community based in service user’s homes, or at St. Michael's Hospice or the Hub on Rye Hill.
